Sheep & Lamb

We raise a small flock of mixed-breed sheep. Our sheep are pastured during the summer, and fed second-cut hay during the winter. They also enjoy a mix of whole grains throughout the fall and winter.

**NEWS**  Our 2018 lamb crop was a good one, and we have some animals for sale. Lambs were born in March and will be available mid-late May. Both sires and dams were Romney crosses, with lovely dispositions. For info, please contact us.

Pending availability, lamb is available by the half or whole animal. We are very happy that The Local Butcher, a USDA inspected slaughter and processing plant, has opened just a couple of miles down the road from us. They do a wonderful job, and we couldn’t be happier with the product!

Lamb purchasing details:  Our current price is $8/lb hanging weight. For a whole lamb, hanging weight varies between 45-60 lbs, and this results in a take-home weight of 35-50 lbs. We can provide more information about the cuts you’d receive, but here’s a description of the typical cuts. All meat is vacuum-sealed in clear packaging so you can see what you’re getting.

Sheep are shorn in the spring, and we sell handspun natural wool yarns and roving from our Etsy shop

With any questions, or to order or inquire about availability, email us at eastwindfarm2009@gmail.com, or call us at 603-269-6203.
